Akhila Karnataka Pranidaya Sangh (AKPDS) founded in 1982 is a non-profitable, non-political organization whose mission is to provide compassion, food, shelter & medical services to all animals in need.
AKPDS provides food, shelter, water and medical treatment to more than 900 animals such as Cows, Cattle, Buffalos, Camels, Horses and others& feeds thousands of pigeons and birds each day.
Member of our Association was selected as the member of 4th State Level Advisory Committee for implementation of the Karnataka Prevention of cow slaughter and cattle preservation Act 1964, Held by the Secretary to Government Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Forest department on 6th JAN 1988.In the year 1990-91 mechanized slaughter was coming up at Kacharkanhalli Bangalore which was stopped with the support of 25000 people.
AKPDS Secretary P. UttamchandDugar was honoured by SmtMenaka Gandhi with Gold Medal at Mumbai in the year 1993 for the services rendered towards Animal Welfare. AKPDS along with local people at Helekesar Mysore got corporation licensed slaughter house which was slaughtering 200 animal daily closed due to animal waste , blood , and water was flowing into drinking water canal .
